Combining Solovair’s traditional craftsmanship with Carhartt WIP’s core color palette of black, Hamilton Brown and Dusty Hamilton Brown, each style is finished with Solovair’s signature Goodyear welted soft suspension sole and a subtly embossed ‘C’ Logo on the heel.

A classic, three-eye Gibson construction features in black, high-shine leather, executed in a standard fit with a rounded toe. This style also appears in high-shine Dusty Hamilton Brown. The third style, meanwhile, is made from soft brown suede and features a single buckle monk strap. Each pair also comes with two sets of colored laces that draw from the collection’s color palette.
Used in all Solovair footwear production, a Goodyear welted sole refers to the method in which a welt strip is chain-stitched to the upper and the insole, creating a more durable shoe, which can later be resoled. Each pair of Solovair shoes takes between 12 to 16 weeks to handmake and finish.

While Solovair (‘Sole-of-air’) officially launched in the early 1960s, the brand is produced by the Northamptonshire Productive Society (NPS), a historic footwear manufacturer whose roots trace back to 19th-century Northamptonshire, England. By then, the county had already established a centuries-old tradition in artisanal shoemaking, thanks to its abundant supply of natural resources and its central location as a trading hub. Founded in 1881, NPS began producing Goodyear welted boots under a government contract, and over 140 years later, continues to craft Solovair footwear at its South Street factory, where it has operated since 1899.
